Physical Education

Star of the Sea BNS is home to an astroturf games area.  Our teachers are committed to the teaching of physical literacy and fundamental movement skills.  Visiting coaches supplement the work of our staff.  Our pupils receive coaching from qualified coaches in the fields of Gaelic games, cricket, hockey, rugby and tennis.  Our junior school pupils participate in indoor short tennis.  The school greatly values its partnerships with local GAA, cricket and tennis clubs and our pupils avail of these facilities when required.

The school is committed to the teaching of the aquatics strand of the PE curriculum.  Our senior school pupils receive a course of swimming lessons at the Marian College swimming pool each year.
